South University offers students the opportunity to earn an associate degree in allied health science with the completion of a program that requires a total of 98 credit hours, which is divided by a foundation requirement courses and a major requirement courses. The foundation requirement, a total of 60 credit hours, includes courses in composition and literature, computers, the internet, algebra, statistics, psychology, public speaking, and sociology. The major requirement, worth 38 credit hours, includes courses in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, microbiology, chemistry, nutrition, and human growth. The tuition rate for this program is $372 per credit hour and financial aid options are available to students that qualify for assistance.
